Project monitoring week 3

During this week I planned to plan and create my front cover and contents page. This was my aim so that I could be ready to move back onto the contents of my magazine next week. However due to missing some sessions last week I had to take some time of this week to finish my article for my second feature in the magazine. This used up one of the sessions of the week so I was left with less time for the creation of what I had planned. Once I had my article written I left it so it can be tweaked later in the production as I knew I had to move on. This week I have started to create my contents page and I have my front cover planned and need to start it's creation in the remaining sessions of the week.    

The contents page is at a development stage as I have my header fitted and have completed the layout of the page with the border and titles of the features in place along with their descriptions. I need to place the images that go with the articles into my contents page before I can finish the layout of the page. This means I need to complete the photo shoots for my second and third articles which are planned so I know I am going to have the images soon and will be ready to fit them straight onto the page. Once I have these images I will be able to insert them and the contents page will be finished as I have the writing completed, this leaves me confident that I am going to complete my contents page within the planned schedule as I have near completed it. 

However this means that I have not completed my creation of the front cover of my magazine. I have the plans written so I know the sell lines I am going to use and I have a layout ready so I know where I plan to place the writing and images. All this leaves is obtaining the images so I can put them onto the cover. This has put a dent into the progress of my schedule as I now need to create the front cover layout so that it will be ready to have the images placed into it. This is disappointing as it leaves me with less time for my other creations as I need to have the front cover made quickly so that I can keep on track with my schedule. I have the fonts I plan to use for my front cover ready so I can put them into the cover once the layout is prepared.
