A2 Contingency plan
Problem
How will you avoid or solve this problem?
Model doesn’t show up for the photo shoot.
Keep reminding them before hand about the time and place. Have a
backup model prepared for the time of the photo shoot. Have a reliable model
so that you can trust they would make it to the photoshoot.
The work corrupts or is not saved.
Save the work regularly as I work on it and have the work backed-up
on the network. Create a version 2 of the work that acts as a back up to the
master copy.
The photos come out unfocused.
Take time on each photo so you are positioned right and have the
model posed how you need them to be. Keep the shutter open long enough to
have the right amount of light exposure you need for the images.
Memory sticks are lost or broken.
Keep all work saved on the network and have it backed-up in case it
corrupts. Have work saved in multiple places such as keeping them in e-mails
ready for downloading.
Props are broken or lost.
Have back up props prepared and with me to take to the photo shoot. If
possible have the model bring props and bring them myself so that if one is
forgotten their will be spare at the shoot.
Camera breaks or runs out of battery.
Have a second camera with me at the shoot so it wastes no time. Have
the pictures saved regularly if there is a break in the shoot so that you
have intervals not losing all the images. Have a charger at the ready so the
camera can be turned on again as soon as possible.
The model is not dressed appropriately.
Show them how you want them to look beforehand, use images as an
example if possible. Keep reminding them what they will need and provide it
to them if they cannot comply. Demonstrate any poses you want them to be in
so they know how to act and model.
Running out of time and not having the programmes at home to work on.
Work during free periods and stay back after college to make sure I
will make the deadline. Dedicate lessons and specific times to completing
sections of the work so I will know what will be finished and when. Create a
timetable if necessary to manage my time.
Photo shoot takes a long time to set up.
Explain beforehand what you want to do in the shoot with the lighting
and how the model will be positioned etc. This will have the set prepared for
the shoot. Come to the shoot early to ensure everything is correct then if it
is not I will have some time to manipulate the scene.
Running out of network space.
Ask for more space to work on.
